VXDIAG VCX NANO for GM works great on Win 7

2015 new VXIDAG VCX NANO for GM/Opel has been tested working well with software GDS2 and Tech2Win by obd365 engineers. This post here shows how to diagnose 2010 Buick H 3.9L V6 LZ9 by VXDIAG GM.

Note：VXDIAG Tech2Win software can diagnose and online program GM Group vehicles and Opel Saab from 2005 to 2013. GDS and Tech2Win differences:

• Function: both GDS2 and Tech2Win USB version and WIFI wireless version all perform Wlan diagnosis and online programming function ( not include offline programming)
• Year coverage: GDS2 covers GM from 2009 to new 2015, Tech2Win software diagnose and program old GM models same as Tech II.

VXDIAG GM Tech2Win diagnose Buick H 3.9L V6 LZ9 2010

Tech2Win OS (Operation System):  Win xp, win7 64bit or win8 64bit. Here we tested on WIn 7 64-bit.

Procedure:

Part 1. Tech2Win diagnose 2010 Buick H 3.9L V6 LZ9 via USB

1) Open DVD, extract file “Tech2Win11.27” to the desktop, copy “VX Manager 1.0.6.1110” to the desktop.

2) Open file”Tech2Win11.27″ on the desktop, open “AutoInstall” to install GM MDI and Tech2Win.

2) Open “VX Manager 1.0.6.1110” on the desktop to install VCX SDK Driver.

3) Go to the right corner of the desktop, click “JS” to connect to the network, then select “Work network“.

• Connect device to the computer by USB

5) Open “VX Manager“, check VCX NANO device information

6) Click icon “Diagnostic Apps“- “GM GDS2/Tech3“, click “Install”

7) Open “Tech2Win“, choose “North American – Diagnostics – model year 2010 – Passenger Car – Buick -H –  Powertrain – 3.9L V6 LZ9 – Engine Control Module – Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) – DTC Display.

Press F0 Diagnostics

Select vehicle model and year

Part 2. Tech2Win diagnose car via Wifi

1) Connect VCX-Wifi

2) Open “VX Manger”, select “Configure”, then “Wlan”, then “Save”

3) Click “Tech2Win” to diagnose, the following operation procedure is as same as that via USB.

Operation System: windows XP system

Function to operate: clear DTC for Jaguar LandRover with SDD running at VXDIAG

Step-by-step instruction:
Step 1: Launch JLR SDD, then click “SDD” to Login.

Step 2: After you see “The SPX – I – VIEW is connected” at the right corner, click “Continue”

Step 3:  Click “Auto VIN Read”.
 

Step 4: Click “Diagnose”

Step 5:  Select symptom, SDD covers Chassis, power train, electrical and body, here I select Powertrain – Engine system – Engine cooling, then click “Continue” to identify recommendations for selected symptoms.

Step 6: After complete identifying recommendations for selected symptoms, click “Diagnose”.

Step 7: Click “Diagnose”, select Powertrain – Engine system – Engine cooling, then click “Continue” to load recommended candidates.

Step 8: select market specification, click “Save”, then go to analysing data…
 

Step 9: Find out “Complete Vehicle – Clear all stored diagnostic trouble codes.”, click “Run”

Step 10: get message prompting “Ignition On Check”, click “Continue”

Step 11: Clearing DTC.

Step 12: Get operation tips, click “continue”

Step 13: back to the menu, and select “Session”, click the “refesh” Icon
 

Step 14: Click “DTCs” to view DTCs read from vehicle.

How to install VADIAG VCX NANO Mazda IDS V95 on Win 7

VADIAG VCX NANO diagnostic interface is compatible with Ford IDS and Mazda IDS 2-in-1. Both software need to installed separately. Here is the step-by-step instruction on installing Mazda IDS V95 software on Window 7 directly (no VMware).

NOTE:

Mazda IDS installation is different from Ford IDS installation. Ford IDS V95 and Mazda IDS V95 can not be installed directly on same Win 7 laptop. If you setup Ford IDS on VMware, then you can install Mazda IDS directly on same laptop, it is OK.

NO Activation is required.

Main steps:

1) Install Mazda IDS V95 software

2) Install Mazda IDS V95.01& IDS V95.02 update exe

3) Install VCMII Driver

4) Connect VXDIAG VCX NANO interface

5) Run MAZDA IDS software

Insert Mazda IDS software CD to computer

Open Computer

Open DVD RW Drive (E:) Ford Mazda IDS

Copy Mazda IDS95 folder to desktop

Open the Mazda IDS95 folder on desktop

Open and Install Mazda IDS V95 software

Select IDS V95 software language

Click Yes to proceed

Install Mazda IDS 95.00 wizard

Click Next

Accept license agreement

Click Next

Click Install

Install software, the procedure will take 30 minutes to 2 hours, please wait patiently

Click Reboot to restart the computer when software is well installed

2) Install Mazda IDS V95.01 & V95.02 update.exe

Open Mazda IDS software on desktop

Select Dealer Type: None-Dealer and Country, press Tick

Check software and then close it

Open Mazda IDS95 folder on desktop

Install Mazda IDS V95.01 update.exe

The procedure will take about 30 minutes

Then install Mazda IDS V95.02 update.exe

Wait for about 30 minutes until it is well installed

Restart the computer

3) Install VCMII Driver

Open Computer

Open DVD RW Drive (E:) Ford Mazda IDS

Open VCMII Driver 2.2.0.1505

Click Next

Click Next

Click Finish when VCM2 driver is installed

4) Connect VXDIAG Ford& Mazda interface

Connect VXDIAG VCX NANO interface with computer

The system will detect driver and install device driver software

Open Computer>>Device Manager>>Ports>>USB Serial Port (COM4) and USB Serial Converter to check well communication is built

5) Run Mazda IDS software

Open Mazda IDS software on desktop

Let the IDS software detect vehicle information

Select diagnostic & programming function or view data logging etc.
