One of customer has got the VXDIAG VCX NANO for Ford and Mazda 2-in-1 diagnostic tool (Ford IDS V97/Mazda IDS V98). When he well install the Ford IDS V97 software, the system prompts error "IDS is outdated to be update".
Possible reason:
He has properly set the wrong date to 2015.07 and connect Internet when installing the IDS software.
Solution:
Disable network connection when install both Ford and Mazda IDS software.
Then follow the instruction here to install Ford IDS software. (Download video guide in the end of the blog)

VXDIAG VCX NANO For Ford and Mazda Work Experience
This is the professional review of a VXDIAG VCX NANO For Ford/Mazda IDS 2 in 1 user.

Received item on obdii365.com 7 days after initial order, so not bad
To start with the software installation can be a little problematic to the point I Installed upto V96 only, however as I am using on an 2006 Fiesta it more than adequate for my needs.
I purchased the device because I needed to program an ebay purchased key to the vehicle PATS system as I only had one key when I brought the car and really wanted a spare in case of loss or damage
The device was able to delete all old keys from the system then and add 2 new keys, whilst I was there I did some software updates on the PCM.
Honestly it really is a good device and works perfectly once you get over the software issue.
A bit of advise with the software is use virtual machine (its easyier to delete and start again), and follow video guides found on youtube
Here is a quick guide for my success:
Use Virtual machine installer found on Ford IDS CD V97, install VM then create a VM
Then on the virtual machine
Install calibration from V81 CD
Install V91 from V97 CD and reboot without opening software
Once rebooted open software and agree to 3 day licence, enter any details
Close software and Install V96 and reboot without opening
Once rebooted you can open software
Install software on CD V97 for the VX device
At this point I just installed deep freeze found on cd V97
Then on the virtual machine
Install calibration from V81 CD
Install V91 from V97 CD and reboot without opening software
Once rebooted open software and agree to 3 day licence, enter any details
Close software and Install V96 and reboot without opening
Once rebooted you can open software
Install software on CD V97 for the VX device
At this point I just installed deep freeze found on cd V97
Still playing with the vxdiag scanner, will report the test results in few days.

NOTE:
If you have successfully installed/used Ford IDS V96, then directly download and install IDS V97. Better backup files before installing v97.
IDS V97 Installation main steps:
- Install V81 calibration files
- Install V91 IDS
(Should have 3 day trail information after install V91 IDS, otherwise fail to install, quit the IDS.)
- Install VCM2 IDS V96. if IDS V96 runs well, continue operation
- Install IDS V97, make sure it runs OK
- Finally install the VX Driver you just download above
- Test and diagnose cars
- Install frozen software
