How to Reset VXDIAG Benz C6 VCX-DoIP Firmware

How to reset VXDIAG Benz C6 DoIP VCX firmware with these scenarios:

1.Failed to update firmware, need to reset VCX.

2.Device connect well with vehicle and laptop, indicators turn on, VX Manager cannot find the device.

How to reset VXDIAG Benz C6 VCX firmware?

Press Reset button on VCX unit

Connect VCX-DoIP with vehicle via USB to power on

Release the reset button after connecting to computer

After reading the device IP, click on DOIP-NET

Browse to U-Boot Update for VCXNet v1.1.0

Select Firmware location to reset: C:\Program Files (x86)\VCX\VCXMan\Tools\VCXDoIP\release

Update in progress

The management tool will find the device IP. The firmware reset is completed.

Now open the VX Manager. It will detect the VXDIAG C6 Benz VCX-DoIP diagnostic interface.

Device is ready to use.

TIS techstream is the replacement for the Diagnostic Tester. It combines the functionality of TIS and the scantool into a single portable device. With TIS techstream, technicians can simultaneously view/analyze on-board vehicle data, browse relevant TIS service documents, and reprogram vehicles all from the driver’s seat via wireless connection to TIS.

Scantool Diagnostics
TIS techstream offers full support for 1989 current vehicles marketed in the United States. Periodic software updates will be available to support new models. TIS techstream provides quick and easy access to all available systems on the vehicle as well as a one touch vehicle status report (Health Check).

Activation and installation:

No need registration key.  Install techstream software then run the patch.

How-to: set up/configure XENTRY XDOS diagnostic software and update firmware of VXDIAG Benz C6 DoIP multi tool.

VXDIAG Benz C6 configuration step

Note: before using XENTRY software, you need to configure the diagnostic device by following these steps

1. Configure diagnostic device, select XENTRY Diagnosis VCI

2. Click on configuration

3. Click on Continue

4. Click on Continue

5. Unable to detect StartKey. click enter StartKey manually

6. Save Key and click apply and continue

7. Click Application and continue

8. Configuration complete, click exit

Complete configuration needs to restart the computer!
Successful configuration and normal device connection will display this icon on the desktop or taskbar

VXDIAG C6 Benz DoIP Update step

Once the XENTRY XDOS software installation is configured, install the VX Manager client and perform the following steps
1. Upgrade VCX firmware version to latest version

2. Update DoIP firmware version to latest version

3. Install BENZ C6 driver

Now VXDIAG C6 XENTRY XDOS scanner is ready to use.

How to install Ford IDS V112/Mazda IDS V112 on native machine?

Step 1: Install IDS setup 

Install IDS-112.01_Full setup

Accept license agreement
Select destination folder
Click on Install

Install IDS 112.01 installshield wizard until completed

Restart computer after installing setup

Step 2: Install VX Manager 

Open VX Manager
Accept license agreement
Press Next

Installing VCX SDK Driver

This will also start VXDIAG Cloud Diagnostic Service

VX Manager installation completed

Connect the VXDIAG Ford interface with laptop

Open VX Manager to check connection status (If use VCX-DoIP interface, it will auto detect and connect to laptop)

Select Diagnostic Software: Ford IDS

Install Ford IDS driver

Step 3: Install Patch & Run IDS

Open IDS patch

Ford IDS requires teh following information: dealer type (Ford/Lincoln/Mercury),Dealer code (1111) and country

Press tick icon to continue

Auto starts IDS software and diagnose vehicle.

How to install VXDIAG Ford/Mazda IDS V112:

1. Install the official IDS diagnostic software and restart the computer after completion;

2. Install VCX client VX MANAGER, and install FORD type drive at the time point;

3. Connect to the Ford VCX device and click “Ford_IDS_FIx.exe“. After installation, you will be prompted to create shortcuts on the desktop.

Note: 1. In the future, when using VCX to diagnose Ford, we must click on “Ford_IDS_FIx.exe” to run the diagnostic software. Clicking on the original IDS is not diagnosable;

2. The diagnostic software must be installed first, and the device driver must be installed.
