How to Activate EPC WIS for vxdiag Benz?

Confirmed: vxdiag Benz c6 multi tool EPC & WIS require activation before using.  please activate EPC WIS by following the parts.

Video Guide

Open “Xentry License”, then click on “OK”.

Open “WIS-EPC”, user: admin, password: 12345 (copy from “WIS-EPC User” notepad).

Click on “Server” then “Edit the access authorization”.

Copy “Lan-ID”. Then open “Computer” -> Local disk (C:) -> WIS, paste the LAN-ID, input number of users (253) and expiration date (2/26/2032), then “Generate”;

Copy EPCnet and paste it to EPC StartKey.

Copy “WISnet” and paste it to WIS/ASRA StartKey.

Click on “Save”.

Click on “Programs”, then “EPC”.

Note: please click on “Cancel” to cancel the program re-start.

Select “Option” then “Setup F2”.

Reset the language as English.

Exit EPC.

Back to “Programs”, then “WIS/ASRA”.

Click on “Run”, then “Cancel”

Select “Option” then “Setup F2”, then reset the language you want.

Exit WIS/ASRA.

Now ready to use EPC and WIS/ASRA normally with vxdiag Benz c6 scanner.

How to Reset VXDIAG Benz C6 VCX-DoIP Firmware

How to reset VXDIAG Benz C6 DoIP VCX firmware with these scenarios:

1.Failed to update firmware, need to reset VCX.

2.Device connect well with vehicle and laptop, indicators turn on, VX Manager cannot find the device.

How to reset VXDIAG Benz C6 VCX firmware?

Press Reset button on VCX unit

Connect VCX-DoIP with vehicle via USB to power on

Release the reset button after connecting to computer

After reading the device IP, click on DOIP-NET

Browse to U-Boot Update for VCXNet v1.1.0

Select Firmware location to reset: C:\Program Files (x86)\VCX\VCXMan\Tools\VCXDoIP\release

Update in progress

The management tool will find the device IP. The firmware reset is completed.

Now open the VX Manager. It will detect the VXDIAG C6 Benz VCX-DoIP diagnostic interface.

Device is ready to use.

Note: before using XENTRY software, you need to configure the diagnostic device by following these steps

1. Configure diagnostic device, select XENTRY Diagnosis VCI

2. Click on configuration

3. Click on Continue

4. Click on Continue

5. Unable to detect StartKey. click enter StartKey manually

6. Save Key and click apply and continue

7. Click Application and continue

8. Configuration complete, click exit

Complete configuration needs to restart the computer!
Successful configuration and normal device connection will display this icon on the desktop or taskbar

VXDIAG C6 Benz DoIP Update step

Once the XENTRY XDOS software installation is configured, install the VX Manager client and perform the following steps
1. Upgrade VCX firmware version to latest version

2. Update DoIP firmware version to latest version

3. Install BENZ C6 driver

Now VXDIAG C6 XENTRY XDOS scanner is ready to use.
