How to Install Nissan Consult 3 Plus V241 for VXDIAG?

 Nissan new software version 241 was tested working by obdii365.com engineer without issue. 

The V241 uses a different patch as V226. In this version, you don’t need to install Nissan VCI driver separately, directly install driver in vx manager. So V241 software installation is slightly different from V226 version.

Software version: V240.10 (Setup V241)

Compatible devices: VXDIAG VCX NANO for Nissan, VXDIAG VCX SE for Nissan

Multi-language: Chinese, Finnish, German, French, Greek, Japanese, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, Turkish, Thai, Czech, Polish, Hungarian etc.

Operating system: Windows 10 64bit (free to try other systems)

 

Main steps:

Install software setup

Install database

Install VX Manger and Nissan driver

 

Procedure:

Download Nissan V241 software
Open software folder
Open C3P_V241.13.00 folder
Run Setup as Administrator

Select First Installation and press Next
Accept license agreement
Select your region
Select your country
Select application language
Follow prompts to install set up until finished.

Open C3P_V241.20.00 folder
Run Setup as Administrator
Software installation succeeded

Open Pplus_V241.1F folder
Run Pplus_V241.1F program
Select setup language and extract database

Open Pplus_V241.2 folder
Run Pplus_V241.2 program
Select setup language and install database

Install VX Manager

Send Loader patch from software folder to desktop shortcut

Connect VCX SE or VCX NANO Nissan scanner with laptop via USB. Check device is well connected in vx manager.
Install Nissan VCI driver in vx manager
Keep vxdiag firmware and license update to date.

Run Nissan software from loader on desktop

Select VI/MI device

Software will search VCI.

VCX device is detected. Press “Connect” to connect VCI.

Now software is ready to use.

The immobilizer menu is gray and the DiagnosticTool.ini file needs to be replaced to activate this function.

Activate Immobilizer function
Go to Win10Prox64/Consult-iii_Plus/System/Application/ApplicationData/CommonSetting folder
Delete DiagnosticTool.ini file.
Copy and replace DiagnosticTool.ini file from software folder to the CommonSetting folder
Run software from Loader again.
Now you will see Immobilizer menu is activated
Software is ready to use.

 New version Nissan Consult III Plus V235 was tested working with VXDIAG scanners without issue.

Driver: This version requires latest Nissan RNM VCI driver support. Install Nissan VCI driver for Consult3-P in vx manager. Don’t need to install driver separately anymore.

VXDIAG or VNCI for Nissan Online Programming??

 VXDIAG VCX SE and VNCI RNM which is a better Nissan diagnostic scanner for module programming?

 

 

1. VXDIAG VCX SE for Nissan

The device does support online programming with software subscription.

 

If VXDIAG fails to program modules online. C3+ Software version might be the problem.

Obdii365.com here shares a case study of one of our customers.

 

He bought a VXDIAG VCX SE device with Nissan license activated.

Tested it on a Qashqai J11 MY2013- diagnosis everything works fine.

 

He registered with the MERS.  Then started the procedure of module reprogramming the VCX SE head in Consult III Plus 226.50:

Go to Programming and Configuration – Engine – Programming and initialize internal combustion engine

Consult3+ finds 2 firmware updates for the engine

The consult3 plus makes sure that everything is normal and you can proceed.

Then, after launching the firmware, the fan on the radiator started and remove the chip from it so as not to drain the battery.

This is where everything froze, waited for the promised 15 minutes for about an hour or a little more. No luck.

Without waiting for the end of the process, he quit and the Consult3 plus software threw out an error (“Reprogramming SCF Error”).

He repeated it again, waited for about 2 hours – it was stuck in exactly the same place.

 

He contacted our customer service for help. VXDIAG engineer did a teamviewer check and confirmed it was a software issue. VXDIAG engineer installed Consult 3+ plus V235 version via Teamviewer. He repeated and this time no more stuck issue. Programming went fine.

 

So the vxdiag vcx se head will work with NERS and will flash the internal combustion engine and transmission, just need to make sure use proper Consult 3+ software version V235.

2. VNCI RNM device

VNCI RNM currently is compatible with Nissan Consult 3 Plus V231 software. V235 coming soon. Since the device is compatible with original Nissan VCI driver, it is play and play.

It has no problem working with Nissan subscription for online programming. We haven’t got any negative feedback yet.

VNCI Nissan programming example

VNCI RNM is also compatible with Renault and Mitsubishi software.

 

 

Both devices supports Nissan online programming with subscription. VXDIAG uses its own driver but allows to add more car brand license.

VNCI uses original driver but it is not able to add more license. All depends on your need.
