SUBARU SSM-III Software Functions:

1. All System Diagnosis. Selecting this item displays on a single screen the fault detect status of all control system control modules for which SSMΙΙΙ diagnosis is supported, and memorized diagnostic codes.

2. Each System Check. Selecting this item makes it possible to select a particular system from among the control systems forwhich SSMΙΙΙ diagnosis is supported, and perform fault diagnosis. This item can be used to view input/output data of the system control modules that perform fault diagnosis, memorized diagnostic codes, and other data on the PC display. This menu item is also used after repair work is complete to delete diagnostic codes, to configure control module settings, etc.

3. Saved Data Display. This item can be used to save various data sampled during fault diagnosis operations, and to load data for viewing after work is complete.

4. Immobilizer. This item performs immobilizer registration.

5. Reprogram. This item performs reprogramming of the control module.

6. Read CF application measurement data. This item performs reading stand alone measurement data saved in a CF card to hard disk of your PC.

7. Convert/Save measurement data on driving recorder. Loads data sampled on the driving recorder to the PC from the CF card, and converts and saves that data.

8. Oscilloscope. After attaching the optional pulse/analog cartridge to SDI, connect the pulse/analog box to the SDI and using pulse/analog probe to perform analog sampling.

VXDIAG NANO Mazda IDS V98 work well on Mazda 6

Hooked up VXDIAG VCX NANO Mazda IDS scanner for Mazda 6 for a couple of days… Last week, free downloaded ids 98 on the web and tested it on my Mazda 6 this morning.

Mazda IDS V98 software & driver can be download here.  I installed it on Dell d630 with Windows XP system. With the help of obdii365.com customer service staff, everything went well. RunMazda_IDS_98.00 to install Mazda ids 98, then go to the folder C_CD>>setup.exe to install Mazda C93, and then install VX Manager. Only 3 steps… It’s easy.

Then connected VXDIAG scanner unit to Mazda 6 and open Mazda IDS on Desktop to begin the test.

Select Dealer type: non-dealer. Country: CHILE. Then go on.

Diagnostic procedure showed as the screenshots.

            

That’s it.

Worked ok! The only complaint is the connection problem; that is, i used the USB VXDIAG scanner…a bit inconvenient for my usb cable is about 2 meters only that i cannot moved the laptop to … So i strongly suggested anyone to buy wifi diagnostic tool. VXDIAG Ford/Mazda wifi version was released after mine. Bad luck but it’s okay.

VXDIAG Ford "IDS is outdated to be update" error solution

One of customer has got the VXDIAG VCX NANO for Ford and Mazda 2-in-1 diagnostic tool (Ford IDS V97/Mazda IDS V98). When he well install the Ford IDS V97 software, the system prompts error "IDS is outdated to be update".


Possible reason:
He has properly set the wrong date to 2015.07 and connect Internet when installing the IDS software.


Solution:
Disable network connection when install both Ford and Mazda IDS software.

Frequent asked questions of VXDIAG VCX NANO for Jaguar and Land rover SDD diagnostic interface are gathered below.

Q: What’s the difference among VXDIAG VCX NANO for JLR, JLR Mangoose SDD and VCM2 IDS/SDD for JLR

A:

1) Software is the same, differs in version, perform same functions

2) Differ in hardware and use different drivers

3) The biggest advantage of VXDIAG VCX NANO is the firmware will never be locked (unlike VCM2 SDD for JLR).

Q:  I have followed the installation instructions but SDD will not start, any ideas?? Installed on Win 7 Pro 32bit, have the vx manager driver installed, no error reports and no error screenshots. Install was OK, everything works right up to opening sdd, then nothing?

A: Your VXDIAG VCX NANO interface is not plugged into vehicle.  The hardware interface should be plugged into vehicle’s diagnostic socket if you need to run the SDD software.

Q:  I tried to use V142 with VXDIAG VCX Nano JLR on Win 8.1, the program start and i found the unit but it can’t read auto identification,or manual VIN number but it don’t work do the unit only work with V141, why?

A: The VXDIAG VCX NANO for JLR is compatible with V141 SDD software (compatible original SDD software V141 as well). V142 is too new to read the VIN. And please change another laptop running Windows 7 operating system.

Q: What’s the latest version SDD of the VXDIAG tool?

A: The current version SDD is V141.

Q: Does the VXDIAG SDD for JLR support diesel models?

A: Yes, it supports both diesel and petrol models.

Q: Will the new VXDIAG SDD support both online and offline programming? Need I pay extra payment?

A: The new SDD will do reprogramming (Immobilizer programming online requiresJaguar account. Other programming do no need to do online, but you need connect storage battery to make sure your voltage is stable)

Q: How to install the SDD software? Do you have instructions?

Q: What year does the new SDD cover? Will it do Jaguar 2015?

A: The SDD supports 2005 to 2014 Jaguar and Land rover models.

Q: I have watched and installed as per vide, this allows offline mode to work for one day then it does not work?

A: For all the JLR software after V137, they can’t support offline programming anymore, only online programming.

Q: Does it support Dutch language?

A: Yes, the VXDIAG SDD supports multi language, includingEnglish/Japanese/Portuguese/Romanian/Korean/Dutch/Polish/Turkish/Spanish/French/Italian/Croatian/Danish/German/Swedish/Finnish/Slovenian/Czech/Russian/Greek/Chinese.

Q: How can I update it?

A: VXDIAG SDD software can be updated online. Firmware cannot be updated. 

VXDIAG VCX NANO for Ford do Mondeo all key lost

Today, I want to share my nice experience about doing all key lost on Ford Mondeo by VXDIAG VCX NANO for Ford & Mazda IDS diagnostic and programming software. Hope it helps you.

Note: I use with the Chinese version, and the red words on the pics are translated myself. Maybe it is not well, but it works I think.

WARNING:

No matter how many smart keys is prepared to be matched, there must be two or more legal smart keys.

First, connect to the device, and ensure that the vehicle’s battery is fully charged. Otherwise, you need to connect the charger for charging. If you have a smart key, the system will identify the vehicle information smoothly and to enter. If all key lost, it will appear the following tips: “Tip: PCM (engine computer) failed to communication, but the RFA (Free keyless start system) communication success.” Then the system prompts to enter the PCM serial number or some identifying information to the next step.

All the information above is marked on the side of the engine computer.

If you can not find the engine computer or information, go to the Internet to search for information on the engine computer information on the same type of the vehicle, with the same model and capacity.

Diagnostic system will soon enter and identify a variety of data and information of the vehicle.

Then you can enter the toolbox for the matching function.

Then the system prompts that there must be two keys prepared for matching.

Click to begin communication. First remove all existing key, and click OK when you finish the deletion. The system will prompt that the first key matching is beginning and pop that you need to enter a password to perform.

20BBCF on the picture above is transferred the character as the password. Enter the password after password is calculated.

The system prompts that within 15 seconds, press any button on the first matching remote control for 1 second. At the same time, there will be a blue progress bar (15 seconds) on the screen. According to my practical experience, as long as the speaker of the vehicle does not ring or turn lights do not flash, it is an ideal way to keep pressing a button on the remote key until the vehicle responds. (In this case, the remote control needed to be matched must be operated in the car.)

If the operation fails within 15 seconds, check the vehicle’s battery power and the remote control battery power. After confirmation,press Retry button to re-match.

When the vehicle horn beep once or turn lights flash once, it proves the success of the remote control match.

Next, the system prompts that you need to complete the smart control identification and the PATS (keyless entry system) match. At this point, you need to pry the circle cover of the emergency identification outlet under the right side of the steering wheel. Insert the wide side of the matched smart key with remote control into the white emergency card slot. (you must plug it firmly) Press the Enter key.

PATS matching function is complete, then you need to program the next key. (The operation of the second is the same as the the first)

When two smart remote controls (keys) finish matching, save the record.

Exit the Ford IDS System.

Slam the brake pedal and press the start button, the vehicle starts normally, which means you complete the match.
